VITAE AUTO-COMPOUNDER
A 3d printer inspired auto compounding device that helps pharmacies automate one of their most time-consuming tasks. During a summer internship at Vitae Industries, I designed the second iteration of the device driver and created marketing and training materials to help train pharmacists with different levels of technological literacy.

Worked with
Challenge
My challenge during this internship was to create a product that any pharmacist can use regardless of their level of technological literacy. I had to help teach them how to use the device while working within the limitations of what can be technically implemented within a short time frame.
Final screens
After several rounds of wireframing and feedback, I reached the final design of the desktop app that runs the device. I am sharing a few of the non-proprietary screens to give you an idea of what I worked on.

Physical Product
I created a 3d model of the device using the engineering model as a starting point. Using my model, I created a series of renders from different angles, in different backgrounds, and of all the tray options they supported.

Marketing Videos
I created a few animated videos for Vitae to show off their selling point, namely the interchangeable and easy to assemble trays.
Training Materials
I used custom renders, illustrations, and icons to redesign several training pamphlets including their Quick Start Guide and User Manual. Since some of our users were not comfortable with technology, I ensured that the materials were extremely simple and detailed.

Training Video
I created a complete video of how the current device functions to help in training pharmacists. Since this was meant for immediate use, it shows the previous version of the software. Certain features in this version of the interface were also proposed by me.
